They have a PTFE coat, indicated by distinctive black colouring and produce a clean finish to abrasive timbers such as chipboard, MDF, plywood and certain hardwoods. The dimensions are etched on the extra long 40mm shanks for quick identification and are suitable for mortice and worktops applications. The TR40D has a center tip for drilling abrasive materials.
