Carex elata 'Aurea', commonly known as Bowles' Golden Sedge, is a vibrant ornamental grass prized for its arching golden-yellow foliage edged in green. Its glowing leaves provide year-round colour and make an eye-catching contrast when planted near water features or in mixed borders. This semi-evergreen sedge maintains structure throughout winter, gradually refreshing with new shoots in spring. In late spring, brown flower spikes appear above the foliage, adding textural interest without detracting from its foliage display.
