
The V310 OBD II/EOBD Barcode Reader is designed for all OBD II compliant vehicles, including those equipped with the Next Generation Protocol-Control Area Network (capable). The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency requires that all 1996 vehicles and light trucks, updated vehicles (cars) sold in the United States must meet the OBD-II standard, which includes all domestic, Asian, and European vehicles. A small number of 1994 and 1995 model year gasoline vehicles meet the OBD-II standard. To verify if a 1994 or 1995 vehicle is OBD II compliant, check the Vehicle Emissions Control Information (VECI) label, which is located under the hood or, on most vehicles, next to the vehicle's radiator. If the vehicle meets OBD-II standards, the label will say "OBD-II Certified." In addition, government regulations require that all OBD II compliant vehicles be equipped with a "universal" 16-pin data link connector (DLC). For your vehicle to be OBD II compliant, it must have a 16-pin data link
