It's a brand new derailleur specifically designed and optimized to work with a motor rather than a cable. The AXS™ components allow the system to be customized and stick as close as possible to each rider's preferences via the AXS™ app. Its shortened clevis offers 10mm more between the derailleur and the ground and allows for better chain wrap on the cassette. It can then be fixed more inward and forward than a mechanical Eagle™ derailleur. The Eagle AXS™ derailleur is smart enough to protect itself with its extremely durable Overload Clutch function. In the event of a shock, the motor drive disengages and gives the derailleur its freedom of movement before returning to position immediately without the rider noticing. The system is IP69K water and dust tight, allowing you to cross streams, get through mud puddles and carry out high-pressure cleaning after every ride.
